Kwara govt urges business owners to embrace new agricultural land acquisition process

The Kwara State Government has urged business owners in the state to take advantage of the new streamlined process for acquiring land dedicated to agricultural purposes.

this, the government said, is part of its commitment to fostering economic growth.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, speaking at the Kwara Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (KWACCIMA)’s recent business award event in Ilorin, highlighted his administration’s efforts to create a conducive environment for business expansion and improve the ease of doing business across the state.

Represented by Commissioner for Special Duty, Hon. John Bello, Governor AbdulRazaq underscored the importance of public-private partnerships in driving development.

She said, “The State Government’s continued efforts at infrastructural development are consciously designed to enhance connectivity and facilitate smoother operations for businesses across the State to promote ease of doing business.

“The State Government’s intervention in the areas of prompt issuance of Certificate of Occupancy, land allocations, tax reductions and relives, access to finance, grants, start-up packs and financial advisory services all are targeted at empowering micro, small and medium scale enterprises in Kwara State.”

She encouraged entrepreneurs and investors to explore opportunities in Kwara State, citing the government’s support for business growth through initiatives aimed at facilitating infrastructure development, promoting innovation, and ensuring sustainable economic progress.

The event, attended by business leaders, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders, provided a platform for networking and discussing strategies to enhance economic development in Kwara State.
