The Kwara State Government, through the Ministry of Youth Development, has reiterated its commitment to enhancing urban development in the state through collaborations with relevant stakeholders, individuals, and organisations.

Amb. He said, “The government has engaged in massive urban development which will cut across every sector of the State.”

The Commissioner, while stressing that the construction of the International Conference Centre, ICT Hub, and Ilorin Film Factory, among others, are all part of the developmental strides the government is putting in place to create more job opportunities for youths, added that Phone, Computer and Accessories Dealers Association should take the cue and position themselves well to work hand in hand with the State government in actualising the project of urban renewal.

On his part, the organisation’s Chairman, Alao Semiu, while commending the state government for embarking on the urban renewal development and the construction of state-of-the-art facilities, requested a computer village where all members of the organisation can do their business, saying having a place of their own will create more job opportunities for youths and generate revenue for the State.
