Kwara govt releases 2024 Common Entrance Examination results
The 2024 Common Entrance Examination (Placement Examination) results have been released, the Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has announced.
Hajia Sa’adatu Modibo-Kawu, the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, while making this known at the Ministry’s Headquarters in Ilorin, when receiving the results from the Director, Curriculum and Assessment Department, Mrs. Adewuyi Victoria Funmilayo, commended the Curriculum and Assessment Department for working within the timeline.
Hajia Modibbo Kawu also appreciated Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for graciously approving the State Government’s full sponsorship of this year’s Common Entrance Examination.
Giving the breakdown of the results, the Commissioner explained that 62,031 pupils registered for this year’s Common Entrance Examination in Kwara State, while 45,451(73%) scored 50% and above in English, 41,282 (67%) scored 50% and above in Mathematics, 48,662 (78%) scored 50% and above in General Paper, 9,098 pupils scored below 119 marks, 42,053 pupils scored between 120-249 marks and 10,880 pupils scored between 250-300 marks respectively.
She enjoined Head Teachers of primary schools to collect the results of their pupils from the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development as of Tuesday, 24th September 2024, warning the school heads to desist from collecting illegal money from parents.
Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs Rebecca Bake Olanrewaju, expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the examination and applauded the efforts of the Curriculum and Assessment Department at ensuring the success of this year’s Common Entrance Examination.
