Kwara govt pledges support for entrepreneurs to boost economy

The Kwara state government has reiterated its commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and investors as it pledges its partnership to boost the economy in the state.

The state government, through the Commissioner for Youths Development, Amb. Shehu Usman Ndanusa made the pledge while receiving the team from Kwara Entrepreneurs and Innovations Support Network, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

The Commissioner, while stressing the importance of the visit, said that the job acquisition has diminished, hence, the need for the enlightenment and training of youths for self-employment.

The Commissioner, while reiterating the government’s determination to encourage and support entrepreneurship in the State, with reference to infrastructures, such as the Innovation Hub, Sugar Film Factory, and others appreciated the team while promising long-term partnership, stating that the Ministry would involve the body when needed, requesting them to also invite the Ministry whenever they have events.

In her remarks, the Director Personnel Finance and Supply, the Ministry, Amb. Dr Ajide Adenike Funmilola appreciated the team for their partnership with the Ministry.

Also, the Director of Youths in the Ministry, Alhaji Abdulsalam Akeem, encouraged the team to register their organisation with the Ministry in order to have a good relationship with the Ministry.

Speaking earlier, the Director of Finance of the organisation, Mr Hafeez Bakare, expressed his gratitude to the Ministry for the warm reception, stating that the organisation was new and on a familiarization visit to the Ministry. He explained that one of the mandates of the organisation was to develop youths oriented policies.

Finally, Mr Hafeez appreciated Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his commitment to the welfare of Kwarans, disclosing that he was one of the victims of the EndSARS misfortune and he received financial support from the Governor.
