Kwara govt okays 2025 promotion exam for teaching service commission workers
The Kwara State Government has approved the conduct of the 2025 promotion examination for all staff of the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) who are due for elevation.
Chairman of the Commission, Mallam Bello Tauheed Abubakar, disclosed this on Monday while addressing the management staff of TESCOM in Ilorin. He described the development as another demonstration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s commitment to improving the welfare and career progression of teachers in the state.
Abubakar recalled that since assuming office in 2019, Governor AbdulRazaq had ensured the cash-backing of several pending promotions, including those from 2015, 2016, and 2017, as well as subsequent years up to 2024.
“The governor’s approval of the 2025 promotion examination is a clear indication of his administration’s continued support for the teaching workforce and his resolve to strengthen service delivery in the education sector,” the TESCOM boss said.
He urged staff members preparing for the exercise to remain focused on their responsibilities and to see the promotion as a motivation to deliver better results in classrooms across the state.
Abubakar added that details regarding the examination date and modalities would be communicated in due course, assuring that the current administration remains committed to prioritising the welfare and professional growth of teachers.
