Kwara govt: May allocation to state, LGAs drops by N491m
The allocation to the two tiers of government in Kwara State has witnessed a decline of N491.76 million from N6.030bn in April to N5.538bn in May, the Kwara state government says.
The figure obtained by THE INFORMANT247 shows the state recieved a net total sum of N3,468,216,610.01 for the month of April and N3,163,836,769.46 for May.
The Commissioner for Finance and Planning, Olasumbo Florence Oyeyemi disclosed this on Saturday, in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.
Consequently, the entire LGAs in the state recorded an inflow of N2,562,254,883.3 for April. A fall of N187,384,602.25 as against May’s N2,374,870,281.05.
Meanwhile, Oyeyemi said the Federal Government has deferred all loan deductions for state governments from April 2020 to April 2021 to lessen the impact of the plummeting oil price and COVID-19 pandemic on the finances of the states.
