Kwara govt calls for collaboration between MAN, IBEDC to boost economic activities in Kwara

The Kwara State Government, through the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Technology, has called for collaboration between the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) and Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) in order to complement government’s drive in boosting the economic activities in the state.

The Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology, Hon. Damilola Yusuf Adelodun, made this call during a crucial meeting with MAN and lBEDC in her office, Today July 22, 2024.

The commissioner reassured MAN of the state’s support to Ease of Doing Business, noting that MAN has contributed greatly to economic development of the State.

While adding that the meeting was aimed at addressing the disconnection of electricity power supply to members of MAN, Hon. Damilola reassured the Association of the State Government’s commitment to providing an enabling environment as well as upgrading social amenities to support economic activities in the State.

She advised lBEDC team to carry stakeholders along before embarking on any actions that will affect the operation of the end users/customers.

Earlier, the State Chairman, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Pharmacist Abdulrahman Bioku expressed the Association’s profound appreciation to the State Government, under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for creating an enabling environment and Ease of Doing Business Policy in the State, commending the Ministry for addressing issues accordingly.

Present at the meeting were the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Mary Kemi Adeoshun; Director, Personnel, Finance and Supply, Mr. Tunde Thompson Amos; Deputy Director, Industry, Mallam Yusuf Ibrahim Oladimeji; MAN, Alhaji Hassan lbrahim and others.
