Kwara governor appoints seven Special Advisers

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara has appointed seven Special Advisers.

A statement on Friday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, said the governor has appointed Rtd. Brigadier General Saliu Tunde Bello, an intelligence and counter-terrorism expert, as Special Adviser on Security Matters; Professor Adekunle Dunmade as Special Adviser on Health-related matters; Ahmed Yinka Aluko as Special Adviser Special Duties and Attahiru Ibrahim remains in ‘Sports and Youths’.

The statement furthered that the former Special Adviser Political (SAPOL) Saadu Salau is now Special Adviser Strategy while the former Special Adviser Strategy Abdullateef Alakawa is named the new SAPOL.

The Governor also appointed a senior journalist from Ifelodun local government of the state, Mr. Bashir Adigun, as Special Adviser Political Communications. Adigun is with decades of experience across print and broadcast media industry.

“He is a 1990 graduate of Communications and Language Arts at Nigeria’s premier University of Ibadan. He has two Master’s degrees, both from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria — Masters in International Affairs and Diplomacy (MIAD) and Law Enforcement , Criminal Justice (MLC). Adigun is married with children.”
