Kwara Fire Service contains fire outbreak in Omu-Aran

The Kwara State Fire Service has said it has contained the fire outbreak in a 10-room building with 4 shops on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at 07:02 am at Ilaro Compound, Salami Olokoba House, Omu-Aran, in Irepodun Local Government Area of the state.

According to a statement by Hassan Hakeem Adekunle, the Head of the Media and Publicity of the Service, the firemen  promptly responded to a distress call and acted decisively to contain the blaze, while saving 8 rooms and 2 shops,

The statement, however, said two rooms and two shops were greatly affected by the fire caused by a power surge.

The statement concluded with the Director of the Fire Service, Prince Falade John, urging the public to prioritise safety while advising them to remain vigilant to prevent future occurrences.
