Kwara CJ pledges to work with EFCC in anti-corruption fight

Kwara State Chief Judge, Justice Dusilorun Suleiman Kawu, on Tuesday, pledged to support the ongoing efforts of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in the fight against corruption.

Speaking during a visit by the Ilorin Zonal head of the commission, Kazeem Oseni in his office, Justice Kawu assured the antigraft body that the judiciary, under his watch, will give necessary support to achieve the corruption fight.

He disclosed that three high court judges had already been dedicated to handling financial crimes cases, ” to ensure speedy trials of your cases, we will also give you more if the need arises.”

The high court judges according to him are Justice Sikiru Oyinloye, Justice Mahmoud Abdulgafar, and Justice Adenike Akinpelu.

Speaking earlier, the Ilorin zonal head of the anti-graft agency, Oseni, commended the chief judge and the state judiciary for supporting the commission in realising its mandate and solicited for more.
