Kwara Assembly passes Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises Bill
Kwara House of Assembly, on Wednesday, passed the state Bureau of Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises Bill, 2022.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the executive bill was passed after considering and adopting the report of the House Committee on Commerce, Industry, Women Affairs and Social Development.
NAN also reports that the report was presented by Chairman of the committee, AbdulKsreem Paku (APC, Malete/Oloru).
The bill was read for the third time by Clerk of the assembly, Hajia Haleemah Kperogi, prior to its eventual passage.
The Speaker, Mr Yakubu Danladi, directed the clerk to prepare a clean copy of the bill for assent by Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq.
Also on Wednesday, the governor presented the state Urban Regional Planning and Development Bill, 2022 before the assembly for consideration.
The bill was presented by the governor through a letter addressed to the speaker, which he read to his colleagues during plenary.
Abdulrazaq urged the assembly to give the bill the usual consideration and accelerated passage.
The speaker later referred the bill to the House Committee on Rules and Business, to slate it for first reading at appropriate time.
The Kwara State Landed Property Protection Bill, 2022 also passed first reading during plenary. (NAN)
