Kwara Assembly reads AbdulRazaq’s request letter for approval of two Commissioner-designates, fixes date for screening
The Kwara State House of Assembly has confirmed a request letter by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq over the screening and confirmation of Commissioner Nominees, namely Maryam Nnafatima Imam, Edu LGA, and Lawal Olalekan Olohungbebe, Ilorin West for the post of Hon. Commissioners.
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi Salihu, who presided over Wednesday’s plenary, read the Governor’s to the house and thereafter directed the Commissioner Nominees to submit 35 copies of their curriculum vitae to the office of the Clerk to the House before the close of work on Thursday, 27th February 2025 and appear for Screening on the Floor of the House on Wednesday, 5th March 2025.
Meanwhile, the house has passed, for the first reading, a bill to amend the Kwara State Education Trust Fund
The bill scale through first reading after a motion moved by Hon. Abdulraheem Medina Motunrayo (Lanwa/Ejidongari), the Deputy House Leader was seconded by Hon. Owolabi O. Rasaq (Share/Okeode), and was thereafter referred to the Business and Rules committee to schedule it for the second reading as appropriate.
