The Kwara North Development Council (KWANDCO) has felicitated with its Chairman Comrade Kolo Jerry Majin on his appointment as Senior Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations to the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulraham Abdulrasaq.
The council has described the appointment of its chairman, which takes effect from 2nd November, 2022 “as merited and deserving.”
The secretary to the state Government, Professor Mamman Saba Jibril, made the revelation in a signed statement dated November 4, 2022.
The official congratulatory letter directed to the appointee reads in part: “This appointment is based on the excellent report of your loyalty, steadfastness and favourable disposition to the course of this administration. It is my expectation that you will bring all these sterling qualities to bear on your assignment in a way that this administration’s desire to take Kwara State to a greater height will be realized.
“Furthermore, the appointment is a public trust. Therefore, it is hoped that you will justify the confidence reposed in you in the discharge of your responsibilities. In addition to the aforementioned, you should also make sure that you are guided by the rules and regulations of your new office.
“While congratulating you on your new appointment, you are kindly requested to indicate your acceptance of this appointment in writing to this office within Forty-Eight (48)hours of receipt of this letter, please.
Reacting, the Kwara North Development Council (KWANDCO) in a statement jointly signed by the council’s Vice chairman, Hon Ahmed Muhammad and its Deputy Publicity Secretary, Mayaki Isaiah, said: ” Your appointment is commendable, considering the role you played and yet playing for the development of the North of kwara, as well good governance at large in different times and capacity.”
“The Council is not surprise on your appointment. We were with you at every stage of the struggle, and we know the sacrifices you have made and still making for the region and the society at large.”
