Katsina Police arrest armed robbers, recover stolen items
The Katsina State Police Command has arrested suspected armed robbers who specialised in invading shops and residents, robbing owners of their belongings and other valuables.
According to spokesman of the Katsina Police Command, SP Gambo Isah who paraded the suspects on Thursday, said nemesis caught up with the suspects when they attacked the residence of one Aminu Alake of Kofar Guga Quarters with dangerous weapons and robbed him of his motorcycle, a generator and other valuables.
SP Gambo gave the identity of the four suspects as Umar Adamu, 20, alias Jankai, Hamza Lawal, 19, alias Show, Abubakar Isma’il, 22, and Isah Usman, 22, all of Farin-Yaro Quarters within Katsina.
Items recovered from the apartment of the suspects include two big sacks, each containing armoured cables cut to size, one hacksaw, two long daggers, one pair of scissors, three big flashlights, and two mask caps among others.
