Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Kano State Governor has sacked the 44 Centre officers coordinating the 2023 Hajj exercise in their respective local government areas.
In a statement signed by Governor’s Press Secretary, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa and issued to newsmen said the Governor replaced them with interim officers to coordinate the ongoing Hajj operations in the state, while instructing the newly appointed officers to assume their responsibilities and report to the new Director-General of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board for further instructions at the Board’s Headquarters.
It could be recalled that the governor, shortly after his inauguration, sacked Amb. Mohammad Danbatta, and appointed Alhaji Laminu Rabiu as the new Director-General of the Board.
