Just In: Resident doctors suspend planned January 12 strike

The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has called off its planned strike earlier scheduled to begin on January 12.

The decision was announced on Sunday in a statement signed by the association’s Secretary-General, Shuaibu Ibrahim.

NARD had previously declared the industrial action following deliberations at its emergency National Executive Council (E-NEC) meeting held on January 2, but has now suspended the plan.
