Just In: Moon sighted in Maiduguri as Sultan of Sokoto announces March 1, first day of Ramadan 1446AH

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Saad Abubakar, announced on Friday night that Saturday, March 1st, marks the beginning of Ramadan 1446, following confirmed sighting reports from Maiduguri and Bama.

The announcement was confirmed via the X handle of @moonsightingng.

The Sultan, however, congratulated the Muslim Ummahs and wished them a fruitful Ramadan season.

His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, has announced that Saturday, March 1st, marks the beginning of Ramadan 1446, following confirmed sighting reports from Maiduguri and Bama.
