The National Headquarters of Jamuiyat Nasirul Al-Fridaous Tijaniyat (JNF), on Saturday, September 7, 2025, held its annual Grand Taniat Rosul and Maolud Nabawi to celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

The well-attended event took place at the Aloba Central Mosque, Ilorin, Kwara State.

The programme climaxed a12 days of recitations in praise of Prophet Muhammad (Taniat Rosul),— drew Muslim faithful from far and near—was held under the auspices of Maolana Sayyid Musa Aloba (RTA).

In his lecture, Maolana Aloba called on Muslim faithful to emulate the values and virtues of the Prophet in all their dealings.

While emphasizing the significance of celebrating the Prophet’s birthday, Maolana Aloba stated that the Prophet lived an exemplary life guided by faith and the commands of Almighty Allah.

He highlighted the resilience shown by the Prophet following the deaths of his paternal grandfather, Abdul Muttalib amid the persecution he endured from non-believers in Mecca before migrating to Madina.

According to him, the Prophet did not allow the loss of his grandfather to weigh him down in his mission of Islamic propagation—a value which Maolana Aloba said should serve as a guide for all Muslims to uphold their faith in Almighty Allah in the face of any challenge.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant all participants at the event the blessings of the Maolud.

Earlier in his speech, Dr. Muhammad Jummuah Dasuki, a lecturer from Kwara State University, Malete, said that celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad is incumbent upon all Muslim faithful.

He referenced a Quranic verse that enjoins Muslims to praise Prophet Muhammad, adding that whoever praises the Prophet will be rewarded.

Sheikh Dasuki also lauded the organization of the event, particularly the distinct space arrangements for men and women in compliance with Islamic tenets.

The event featured recitations of praises and remembrance of Prophet Muhammad, as well as prayers for the Muslim Ummah.
