2021 UTME: JAMB issues advice to candidates with incomplete registration

JAMB reschedules 2025 UTME start date to April 24

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced a new commencement date for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which will now begin on Thursday, April 24, 2025, instead of the originally planned date of Friday, April 25, 2025.

This change was communicated in a statement signed by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, and shared on the Board’s official X handle. The statement highlighted that the adjustment aims to accommodate important commitments by the Board and its partner agencies.

In light of this change, JAMB has also informed prospective candidates that they can now print their Notification Slips, which contain essential details such as the exam date, venue, time, and other instructions critical for a smooth examination process.

Candidates are encouraged to start printing their Notification Slips from today, April 19, 2025, to allow sufficient time for logistical arrangements to access their assigned centres within the selected examination towns.

To print the examination slip, candidates should visit www.jamb.gov.ng, click on ‘2025 UTME Slip Printing,’ enter their registration number, and select ‘Print Examination Slip.’

JAMB emphasizes the importance of familiarizing oneself with the examination centre in advance, urging candidates to print their slips and visit their centres at least one or two days before the examination date to ensure a successful experience on exam day.

The Board reassured candidates that they will not be assigned to centres outside their chosen examination towns and reminded them to print their Examination Notification Slips a day prior to the exam to confirm their dates and locations, facilitating easier access on the day of the exam.
