Some communities in Ilorin West Local Government Area have hailed Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq over the nomination of an Abuja-based Ilorin-born lawyer, Barr. Senior Sulyman as commissioner.
Barr. Senior, from Ilorin West, is one of the five new commissioner nominees sent to the Kwara State House of Assembly for screening on Tuesday.
The other nominees are; Deborah Aremu (Irepodun), Remilekun Oluwatobi (Isin), Ibrahim Sulaiman (Ilorin West), Shaaba Margret (Edu), and Ahmed Maryam Hassana (Patigi).
Speaking on this development, Fagba community in a statement signed by Isa Salman commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, urging Barr Senior, if confirmed, should use his position for the development of the state.
They said, “We are very delighted over the nomination of Barr Senior Sulyman as commissioner by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. It is a well-deserved appointment. He is a grassroots politician and one of the financers of the party at the local government.”
For Koro Gurumo community, Sulyman Yusuf enjoined the former House of Assembly aspirants to work towards actualising the primary objectives of the ‘O To Ge’ movement.
“Going by his pedigree as a lawyer in Abuja, he is more than qualified and will add value to Governor AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq’s administration,” part of the statement said.
Ori-Okoh community described Barr senior as humble and hardworking, urging him to use his wealth of experience to develop the state through any ministry he is assigned to, a statement by Bolaji Abdulmalik on behalf of the community said.
Alhaja Ramat Olayinka, on behalf of Agbabiaka community, commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and congratulated the lawyer on his nomination.
He stressed the need for Barr Senior to focus attention on the policies and projects that will address the challenges of state.
