Insecurity: Suspected terror supplier arrested in Zamfara
Troops of the 1 brigade of Operation Fansan Yanma have arrested one Shamsiyya Ahadu, a suspected logistics supplier for terrorist activities in Zamfara state.
Zagazola Makama, a counterinsurgency publication focused on the Lake Chad region, while confirming the development, said the suspect was arrested after authorities received intelligence about his movement.
Makama added the troops orchestrated a snap checkpoint along the road from Kware to Badarawa in the Shinkafi LGA, which resulted in the arrest of the suspect.
It was gathered that the 25-year-old suspected criminal was found in possession of 764 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, 6 magazines, and a talisman (referred to locally as ‘laya’).

Alongside Ahadu, one Ahmed Husaini, a motorcycle rider, was also detained during the operation.
On Friday, the troops reportedly killed several terrorists, including Ma’oli, a notorious kingpin, in the state.
The operation occurred on December 26 in Maisheka village, near Kunchin Kalgo town, Tsafe LGA.
