Hon. Babatunde Shakira canvases for votes ahead of LG Polls in Kwara
The chairmanship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for Asa Local Government, Hon. Babatunde Shakirah, has canvassed for votes from the people of the community ahead of the forthcoming local government election.
Addressing journalists in Ilorin on Wednesday, Hon. Shakira appealed to the good people of Asa LGA to vote for her en masse with a promise for positive and potential change.
She noted that she understands the people’s thirst for good leadership that will foster inclusion, enhance transparency and promote accountability, promising never to let down their hopes as she is ready to deliver.
According to her, “It’s time for a new direction, and I am the right person to lead Asa Local Government to prosperity”.
Hon. Shakirah outlined her vision for the community, including improved infrastructure, enhanced healthcare, education, agricultura and increased economic opportunities, vowing to bring about positive change and development to Asa Local Government if elected chairman.
The Local Government election is scheduled for September 21, 2024.
