Igbomina group gift mobility equipments, others to family with disabilities in Oro-Ago

A group of Igbomina residing in America under the auspice, Igbomina Project North America, has distributed some basic items and equipment to a family of four living with disabilities.

The organisation, reputed for providing basic health facilities to rural habitants in Igbomina land, supports the family with foodstuffs, mobility equipment, sewing machine, drugs among several others.

The helpless mother and her three children are said to be disabled since birth, and stayed indoor living at the mercy of neighbours before the group’s intervention.

Speaking during the event, the chairperson of women living with disabilities in Kwara state and founder, Jibora foundation, Mrs. Joy Bolarin expresses delightedness towards the gesture of the group. She said, “When I got the information that a family of four at Oyate, Oro Ago are living disability, I requested to see them.”

She continued, “Shola (one of the children) got across to me and when I saw his condition, I felt an instant need to assist them. After personal consultation with different people and even several announcement on radio programmes, people called to confirm the veracity of the story but no assist was forthcoming, so I took to the social media where the Igbomina Project North America found it and showed positive gesticulation towards the project”

“During my interrogation with them then, they insisted that they didn’t want to beg but work. Consequently, we have about 11 points agenda to support them.” She added.

Also speaking during the donation event, Elder Oyin Zubair said the organization received the donation from spirited igbomina individual living in America for onward distribution to them.

According to him, “The little is just the beginning. We have take pictures and send across, very soon we wish to give their home a new look”

Buttressing this, the Project coordinator of IPNA, Mr. John Olaniyan stressed the need for members of the public to donate generously so as to make live more easier to the vulnerable people in the society.

John said, “God has reason for how he made everyone. The Igbomina North America saw the pathetic situation of this family on Media so they decide to intervene by providing them some basic needs. This is just a tip of the iceberg. We are still looking forward to providing much more supports.”

However, while appreciating this kindness, Chief Arowolo Oniwido, on behalf of the traditional ruler whom he said was unavoidably absent, prayed for the continuous prosperity of members of the IPNA.

The family also appreciated the support of the group, disclosing that it will go a long way in ameliorating their condition.
