Idigba youths congratulate new KWASU VC, Akanbi
Youths under the auspice Idigba Youth Development Association – IYDA has congratulated Prof. Mohammed Mustapha Akanbi SAN on his emergence as the Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU).
In a statement signed by its secretary, Mallam Abdulfatah Sadiq Elewure, in Ilorin, the Kwara State Capital, the group described Akanbi as an erudite scholar whose past and present credence in the academics is without blemish.
The group expressed confidence that Prof Akanbi would deploy his wealth of experience in lifting the fortunes of the citadel of learning, describing his emergence as another great milestone in the history of the University.
The statement reads in part, “The impact of your family through Mustapha Akanbi Foundation is one of the public credentials that deepen our hope in your appointment as the new Vice-Chancellor. It is our expectation that you will put your skills to continue to make the university a pace setter in the nation’s educational sector. We are confident that with your leadership, the university will produce great men and women that will put Kwara and indeed Nigeria in the world map.
“On behalf of the people of Idigba community, most especially the youths, we pray that Almighty Allah to guide and guard you throughout your tenure as the head of the institution.”
The Kwara State Governor, Mall AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq had announced Prof. Mohammed Mustapha Akanbi SAN, as the new Vice- Chancellor of Kwara State University, Malete earlier on Wednesday.
