Ayo Balogun, the Nigerian superstar popularly known as Wizkid on Monday, revealed the three roles he would be interested in as a movie star.
Wizkid, in a series of posts on the story section of his verified Instagram account, said that for him to be part of a movie project, the role must involve — kissing, shooting guns and slapping people, adding that ‘slapping people is something he loves doing.’
The Grammy award-winning singer, who announced that he is on a four-year break shortly after the death of his mother, stated that he is having so much fun on his vacation that he may extend it to six years, an announcement that did not sit down well with some of his fans, especially on social media.
Wizkid, who was filmed with iconic Nigerian filmmaker and actor Kunle Afolayan over the weekend in a series of posts, wrote, “Loving every bit of this holiday. It might extend to 6 years.
In another post, he wrote in the pidgin language expressing his desire to act, “Shebi I tell una I one dey act film! … I just want dey kiss and shoot gun for movie. Daz all !!!
The singer further posted that he would be the one who would pick the person he would lock lips within a movie. He further warned those trooping to his direct message section over his kiss comment to stop. “Abeg na me go pick who I go kiss o. All this pppl wey dey my dm gerrout! Yea, and I want dey slap ppl for film… na my hidden talent be that.” Wizkid said. (sic)

The Informant247 gathered in a series of Instagram posts by the Multi-award-winning music star, saying he would be taking four or five years off the music scene and would be considering taking up football or golf.
Writing in broken English, he wrote, “Back in 4 years, make una papa chop him money small or maybe five or I fit still go dey play ball now.
“Or make I start dey play golf. Fifa or wrestling b*tch!”All of una dey craze! Everybody dey mad.
“On some G shit, I hope you mofuckas alright body mind and soul and taking time out to enjoy with your loved ones.”
This won’t be the first time Wizkid will be announcing a break from music. In 2019, the singer, via his X account, disclosed his plans to take a break from music, tweeting, “Gone till March! Thank you.”
