Yul Edochie, the Popular Nollywood actor, has disclosed that he will not tolerate insults on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his father, Pete Edochie.
Edochie made this known in a recent interview session on White Pearl Studios TV.
He said, “Only two people must not be dragged in my presence: my father and President Bola Tinubu.”
Edochie, while commenting on the criticism he faced over the past two years regarding his second marriage, stated that he remained undaunted by criticism and chose not to delve into the negative comments that continually inundated his online space.
“People have been dragging (me) for the past two years, I no dey fear dragging, I don’t even read all those things they write about me, I have spent 18 years in Nollywood, these are young people, I am 41. Someone who is 23, 24 is trying to teach me how to live my life, someone who is not married is trying to tell me how to leave my life,” he said.
It would be recalled that the actor in August, via his official X (formerly Twitter) account, pulled his weight behind President Tinubu by sharing a picture where he wore a Tinubu-branded attire.
“Asiwaju boy. 100%. Unapologetically. I love Tinubu. I believe in him, and I’m praying for him to succeed,” he captioned the picture.
Edochie was raised both in Lagos and Enugu and is the last of the six children of legendary actor Pete Edochie.
In 2017, he ran for Governor of Anambra State and was the gubernatorial candidate for the Democratic Peoples Congress.
However, Willie Obiano, who ran for re-election, won a second term.
