I stand fully with Tinubu, says Kaduna governor

Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has declared an open support for the presidential ambition of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

El-Rufai made this revelation at the Murtala Square in Kaduna where the presidential aspirant of the APC, followed by the former Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, former EFCC boss, Nuhu Ribadu among others to solicit support from delegates.

Shettima had earlier informed the delegates that the state governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai was “solidly by their side.”

However, while contributing his opinion, El-Rufai said he would need the consent of his state delegates to take a position.

“I want to correct Kashim Shettima because he said the governor is fully with them,” El-Rufai noted affirming that there’s no way he could stand with Tinubu without the consent of the state delegates.

“Before we confirm what Kashim Shetima said here, I want to confirm from our statutory delegates are you with Asiwaju?” El-Rufai asked, to which the delegates stood in unison, shouting yes.

“Your Excellency, I do what they tell me, they are my bosses. This is how APC in Kaduna works,” he said.
