I predicted Wizkid’s breakthrough years ago, says Mr P

Peter Okoye, PSquare’s twin brother popularly known as Mr P has shared how he once predicted Wizkid‘s ground-breaking success in the musical industry.

Mr P recollected when he made the pronouncement, stating it was during one of their concerts where the ‘Made in Lagos’ crooner performed, saying while interviewers’ kept flocking around and quizzing just him and his twin, ignoring Big Wiz, he made them realise they also needed to speak with the ‘Essence’ singer because he was the future of the music industry.

He said: “We (PSquare) were never the type of artists that looked down on anybody. If you remember, there was a video that went viral where it was PSquare’s concert and Wizkid was opening for us.

“So, they (reporters) kept on interviewing only PSquare and we were like, ‘Okay, guys, hold on. What about him?’ They said.… I said, ‘No, this guy is going to take over tomorrow’.”

Mr P and his twin, Paul Okoye aka Rudeboy were guests on the latest episode of ‘The 77’ podcast.
