Hoodlums break into ministries, chant #EndLabour
Following the closure of ministries and schools by the organised labour in Kwara state over the state government’s failure to meet their demands on the payment of the new national minimum wage, some suspected hoodlums have forcefully open the gate of schools and ministries earlier locked by the labour movement.
Our correspondent gathered that that hoodlums chanting solidarity songs marched to ministries and schools in Ilorin, the state capital with placards bearing various inscriptions seeking the disbandment of labour and also breaking into locked ministries.
The hoodlums, who were sighted by our reporters breaking into the Ministry of Health, along Fate road, had several other broken padlocks with them.
Many ministries and schools have therefore been left opened as at time of filling this report.
