Hit-and-run driver kills UNILORIN Nursing student, injures another
A hit-and-run driver has reportedly killed a student of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital Nursing School while leaving another injured in Ilorin on Thursday.
According to a source, the accident, which occurred around 9 pm at Amilegbe area involved victims returning from the night class at the Amilegbe campus of the institution.
It was gathered that the students, while returning from the night class, reportedly branched off to buy bread when the tragic incident occurred.
The deceased, whose identity is yet unknown, was a 200-level student studying Nursing.
When contacted by our correspondent, the provost of the college confirmed the incident, stating, “The accident involved two nursing students. One of the victims died, while the other is currently at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) receiving treatment.”
