Headmaster rapes 10 year old pupil in Katsina
A 35-year-old headmaster at Alhazawa Primary School, Danja, in the Danja Local Government Area of Katsina State, Kabiru Husaini, has been detained in a correctional centre for allegedly sleeping with a minor in the classroom.
Husaini, who currently resides at Sabon Gari Quarters, Zaria, Kaduna State, was reported to have raped his victim serially
The Informant247 gathered that the victim’s father learnt of the ignominious act on January 26, 2020.
The suspect, will remain in detention till April 14, 2020, when his suit will heard before Hajiya Fadile Dikko of a Katsina senior magistrate’s court.
The police alleged that Husaini sexually assaulted the 10-year-old girl ‘about five times’ inside one of the classrooms in the school.
Mallam Ibrahim Sani, the victim’s father reported the case on January 27, 2020, at the Danja Police Station, leading to Husaini’s arrest.
According to the police, Sani observed that the victim was not walking uprightly on January 26, which propel his inquisition.
The victim reportedly revealed that the Headmaster “who is the headmaster at Alhazawa Primary School, deceived and lured her into the said school classroom and about five times had unlawful carnal knowledge of her.”
The suspect is currently facing a charge for the offence of rape in line with Section 254 of the Katsina State Penal Code Law of 2019.
The presiding magistrate ordered that Hussaini be remanded.
