Happie Boys Drop Out Of School, Lament On Cyprus Cost Of Living
Former security guards known as Happie Boys, who gained fame for their dancing video while on duty, are now expressing dissatisfaction with their current situation in Cyprus online.
The young men, Matthew Precious Kelechi and Amakor Johnson were offered scholarships to pursue higher education abroad.
They became popular online after a video of their dance moves in security uniforms went viral.
It was reported that they were fired from their jobs due to the video. However, they received widespread public support and were granted fully-funded scholarships, along with their manager Caleb, by philanthropist Apostle Chinyere Chibuzor of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), to study overseas.
In a surprising turn of events, the boys recently shared a post on their official Instagram page, revealing that they were only able to attend school for six months before being forced to drop out due to a lack of financial support.
They expressed their struggles in finding employment in Cyprus, where they had been studying, citing the country’s high cost of living.

We want to use this medium to thank each and everyone of you out there more especially my fans, family & @papa.opm who helped us fly abroad to school which we are so grateful!! After GOD used @gossipmilltv to show the world our inbuilt talent from GOD & we’re forever grateful to GOD for looking after us, sustaining and providing for us for the past 8 months which the scholarship lasted for only 6 months and us who didn’t come from rich homes dropped out from school because is very hard for anyone to get a job here in Cyprus! Ask @ogenecyprus .. Living in the country became so expensive but GOD in heaven is seeing his children through!! “Let Love Lead”??? Who no go no know! #happinessisfree #freeshallipopi”
Additionally, the Happie Boys disclosed alleged conversations they had with Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, in which they requested financial assistance on multiple occasions.
They claim that the philanthropist either stated he was financially incapable or ignored their messages.
