Haaland wins second consecutive Premier League Golden Boot

Following Manchester City’s historic title victory, the Citizens forward, Erling Haaland, has won the Premier League Golden Boot for the second consecutive season.

The Norwegian striker, who was absent for two months of the season due to injury, struggled to match the heights of his debut campaign at City, where he struck 52 times in all competitions, including a Premier League record 36.

However, the 23-year-old’s nine times brace in his final seven Premier League appearances helped his team to their fourth Premier League title against Arsenal, who were hopeful of victory in the last 20 years

Despite that, Haaland failed to add to his 27 Premier League goals on the final day, but he still proved decisive in the run-in to help City secure an unprecedented fourth consecutive English top-flight crown.

Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, who started the season at City, was second in the top scorer standings with 22 goals, one ahead of Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.
