Nigerian chef Hilda Baci on Tuesday congratulated Irish Chef, Alan Fisher, the new Guinness World Record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

The Informant247 gathered that the Guinness World Records announced Fisher from Ireland as the new record holder after cooking for 119 hours and 57 minutes at his restaurant in Japan.

Baci, who is the former record holder, while reacting to Fisher’s success, congratulated Alan on her X account on Tuesday.

She wrote, “Huge congratulations to Alan Fisher! 119hrs 57mins is a huge achievement, and I wish him all the best as the new world record holder!”

The Informant247 had earlier reported that Alan Fisher, an Irish has broken Nigeria’s chef Hilda Baci’s Guinness World Records for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

Fisher, the owner of a restaurant and a chef in Japan broke two cooking-related titles.

According to Guinnessworldrecords.com, he is claimed to be the longest cooking marathon (individual) after clocking in a time of 119 hours 57 minutes. That is more than 24 hours longer than the previous record Chef Hilda Baci.

Alan then claimed the longest baking marathon (individual), with a time of 47 hours 21 minutes. The previous record holder was Wendy Sandner (USA) with a time of 31 hours 16 minutes.

Moreso, what is termed has been more impressive is that Alan took on both attempts back-to-back, meaning he was at work in the kitchen for over 160 hours with just over a day of rest in between.
