Guber 2023: Haruna Likpata commends Bolaji Abdullahi for supporting Kwara North ticket

A House of Reps aspirant and Peoples Democratic Party, Haruna Likpata has commended the former Minister for sports and youth development, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi for supporting the zoning of gubernatorial candidate to Kwara North Senatorial district.

This was contained in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital on Tuesday.

In the statement, he said, “It is important I commend him as a shining star and a loyal, principled and cerebral personality who was also interested in the gubernatorial seat but accepted the party’s decision on the zoning system.

“The Former Minister has proven that the party supremacy must prevail and as such the overall interest of Kwaran people should always come first. I thank him immensely for his undoubted dedication, uprightness and commitment to the party Structure and the leadership of People’s Democratic party in Kwara state.

“His recent disposition has humbled many of us that are also interested in one office or the other within the party to see our aspiration beyond selfishness but rather build party and focus more on how will get back the state come 2023.

“I want to use this enormous opportunity to appeal to our leaders who aspired to lead the State from Kwara Central before the zoning of the ticket to Kwara North to show their unreserved commitment and support to Kwara North and urge their supporters to work for the overall interest of the party. The Former Minister sir, we sincerely appreciate your public declaration for Kwara North come 2023.”
