Group urges Shina Peller to contest for presidency in 2023
The Coalition of Concern Youth Organizations in North Central has called on the Honourable representing Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola Iwajowa federal constituency of Oyo State, Hon Shina Peller, to contest for the presidency in 2023.
learns, the group’s convener, Amb Moses Adeifa, made this call at a press conference on Thursday in Ilorin.
He stated that Peller has represented the youth well as an honorable member, urging him to step up to replicate this at the national level.
He said they realized that the lack of involvement of educated people in grassroots politics and the participation of the vast majority of young Nigerians in active politics has created a failure in the system.
Therefore, the group cited this as a reason for unveiling the #ShinaPellerRun2023 project.
He said Peller’s presidency will bring peace, unity, and growth to Nigeria.
Moses said, “Youth consists of 65% of Nigeria’s population which is an opportunity to make the country the true giant of Africa and a major factor that should determine the country’s economic and political life.
“But instead of us exploiting this, we have become a tool in the hand of bad politicians who take us as stooge and thugs, due to the decay in the political and economic systems.”
The group further threatened to drag Peller to court should he fail to heed their call and contest for the highest seat in the country.
