Graham Potter gives update on Reece James injury

Chelsea Coach, Graham Potter has expressed his disappointment at the situation of things on Reece James who limped off the field in their 2-0 win over AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday.

The defender, who has only just returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines had his start against Bournemouth in his first outing since mid-October.

James though lasted less than an hour at Stamford Bridge as he was forced off with what looks like a leg injury in the 52 minutes.

When asked about the situation of the England defender, Graham Potter noted that the injury was not expected to be a big one

“Not too much, we’re going to have to see in the next 24 to 48 hours but it’s disappointing to lose him as quickly as we did.” He said.

Chelsea returned back to winning ways with their 2 nil victory over Bournemouth. They will face relegation battling Nottingham Forest on January 1 and takes on Manchester City four days later for the second time in the season – the first in the EFL Cup
