A former governorship candidate under the United Democratic Party (UDP), Adetunji Oyabambi through a statement issued through his media team has eulogised the choice of governor Abdurrahman Abdurrazaq’s appointment terming it as logical and gender sensitive.
“Governor has redefined governance through this astute nomination. It is a logical one that will encourage gender equity, if we have women as wife and trust family affairs unto them, why can’t we also have them in
key positions in state affairs.
Make example of female presidents of Germany, ex prime minister UK Theresa may, new Zealand prime minister, Hillary Clinton secretary of state and more.”
Recall that governor sent a commissioner-nominees list to the Kwara State House of Assembly for approval.
The list, which comprises names of four women one of who is a 26 year old serving corps member in Jigawa state. The nominees cuts across four different local government areas of Kwara.
