Gov AbdulRazaq pays tribute to late Gen. Lagbaja

The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRasaq AbdulRahman, has paid his tribute to late Chief of the Nigerian Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja.

According to a statement by the Senior Special Adviser on New Media to the Governor, Yinka Fafoluyi, on Friday, Governor AbdulRazaq attended the funeral service of the late General at the National Christian Centre in Abuja.

He described Taoreed Lagbaja as a true Nigerian whose remarkable dedication to the defence of the country’s sovereignty and unwavering commitment to peace and security cannot be forgotten.

“His remarkable service to our nation, dedication to the defence of our sovereignty, and unwavering commitment to peace and security will forever be remembered,” the NGF said.

“Governor AbdulRazaq had paid his last tribute to Lagbaja on Tuesday where he sympathised with his family, colleagues, and all the men and women of the Nigerian Army and prayed for the repose of his soul.

Lt. Gen. Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja’s passing was announced on Tuesday night, November 5, 2024, in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, after a period of illness.
