Ghanian Police arrests 9 fleeing Nigerian inmates – The Informant247
Nine inmates alleged to have broken jail have been arrested while fleeing to Ghana by the Ghanaian Police force at Ada Foah.
According to BBC Pidgin, Ada Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent, Francis Somian, explained that they got a tip-off that led them to Clinic Junction Lorry Station where the arrest was made on Monday.
Officials claimed that the tip-off revealed that suspects believed to be fugitive jailbreakers from Nigeria entered the country via ferry, across River Volta into Ada Foah where they intended to continue their journey to Accra via commercial bus.
3news Ghana reported that the suspects have been identified as Emmanuel Obinnah Chiedozie – 27, Steve Eyenuku – 33, Enebeli Lucky – 29, Yommi Usmah – 29, Keli Ekureni -33, Freedom Yusuf – 25, Obi Onuora – 38, Patrick Chanar – 47, and Bless Eyenuku -25.
Police report that at the time of arrest, Suspects were found with Ghanaian and Nigerian currency, personal belongings, passports, and ID cards.
