A student of Government Girls’ Day Secondary School, Oko-Erin, Ademola Bukola Grace who returned bag containing money, phone among other valuables belonging to her teacher, has been awarded for her act of honesty.
The “SS one” student was honoured with the award by a non-governmental organization, Education For All Foundation during its peace and security symposium held in Ilorin, the Kwara State Capital today.
Aside the award, the group also promised to pay her school fees till university level.
The chairman of the foundation, Ibrahim Abdullahi Paranti in his speech said, “As a way of encouraging Miss Grace, EFAF made a scholarship vow to pay her school fees till she graduates”.
Paranti further urged Grace not to relent in her upholding ethical principles.
The event had in attendance representative of wife of the Kwara State Governor, Kwara Police Public relations Officer, as well as other dignitaries.
