Gbemi Saraki bags chieftancy title in Bauchi
The Emir of Dass in Bauchi State, Usman Biliyaminu Oathman, on Sunday, conferred the Honourable Minister of State Transportation, Sen. Ruqayyah Gbemisola Saraki, with a chieftaincy title of ‘Annuriyan Dass of Dass Kingdom — The Light of Dass Kingdom’.
According to a source, message was sent to the minister by the revered monarch through one of his palace aides.
He disclosed that the title is first of its kind in the history of the ancient kingdom and the decision was informed by Saraki’s many strides towards the development of human kinds, especially her selfless contributions to the development and progress of Dass Kingdom.
Saraki — who hails from Ilorin, Kwara state — clocks 55th today.
