Gas tanker caught fire in Lagos-Ibadan highway
A tanker laden with gas caught fire on Sunday night in Ogun State.

It was learned that the incident has brought traffic to a halt along the road under construction, although no reason has been given to what causes the explosion.
Confirming the incident, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said the rescue operation was ongoing.
Meanwhile, the FRSC spokesperson in Ogun, Florence Okpe, could not ascertain whether or not there were casualties in the fire incident, but she promised to give details later.
“There is a gas tanker explosion around Lotto, on Lagos-Ibadan expressway. The FRSC rescue team is on ground for the rescue operation. Details soon,” Okpe said.
