The house of representatives on Thursday, passed an amendment to the Supplementary Appropriation Act, 2022.
The amendment to the Supplementary Appropriation Act, 2022, on Wednesday, passed first, second and third readings during plenary.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had written the lawmakers to approve N500 billion to allow the federal government provide palliatives for Nigerians in order to cushion the effects of petrol subsidy.
The money was to be extracted from the N819 billion Supplementary Appropriation Act, 2022.
