Agricultural Support: Group continues to showcase Saliu Mustapha’s achievements on day 5
The Turaki Advocacy Group (TAG), a volunteer group of young enthusiasts of Senator Saliu Mustapha, announces its initiative to document and promote the achievements of Senator Saliu Mustapha during his first 365 days in the National Assembly.
Representing the Kwara Central Senatorial District, the group stated that Senator Mustapha’s contributions have been significant, complementing the state government’s strides in infrastructure, rural, and human capital development.
Led by conveners Ìtàn’ Ayòbámi and Azeez Olasunkanmi, TAG has meticulously observed numerous projects and initiatives across Kwara Central. Their findings highlight the senator’s impactful work in sectors such as agriculture, education, roads, and rural community development.
“During the election campaigns, the Turaki promised impactful changes and vowed to approach governance differently. We are here to show the people of Kwara Central that he is living up to those expectations within a short period,” said Ayòbámi. The group plans to collaborate closely with the senator’s team and media partners to amplify these achievements.
The initiative will spotlight Senator Mustapha’s legislative duties, including his impactful bills, motions, and oversight functions.
Additionally, it will cover his various constituency projects, community services, federal employment facilitation, and other human capital development initiatives.
Key Achievements in Focus
According to the Turaki Advocacy Group (TAG), achievements of Senator Saliu Mustapha are listed below;
Impact 001: Al-Hikmah University-Onimalu Road

One of the first major capital projects facilitated by Senator Mustapha is the construction of the 1-kilometre Al-Hikmah University-Onimalu Road. Completed in April 2024, this road serves as a strategic link between Al-Hikmah University and Oke-Foma Road, benefiting staff, students, and residents of over 15 neighborhoods.
Impact 002: Legislative Contributions

Senator Mustapha has championed key bills such as the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria Act (Amendment) Bill 2024 (SB464), which aims to establish the Federal College of Agriculture in Oke-Oyi, Kwara State. This bill promises enhanced agricultural education and research, job creation, and overall economic development.
Impact 003: Educational Infrastructure

Through the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Senator Mustapha facilitated the construction of solar-powered classrooms at Fate-Basin Junior Secondary School in Ilorin South LGA. Completed in July 2024, this project is part of broader efforts to complement state initiatives in the educational sector.
Impact 004: Water Projects

Senator Mustapha has overseen the construction of more than 25 ultramodern motorized boreholes across Kwara Central. One notable project is a solar-powered borehole at Aloba Close in Oke-Oyi/Oke-Ose Ward, Ilorin East LGA, addressing the community’s water needs.
Impact 005: Agricultural Support

On June 1, 2024, Senator Saliu Mustapha facilitated the distribution of 3,500 bags of high-quality 50kg fertilizers, valued at over N200 million Naira, to farmers across Kwara Central.
This generous distribution, provided free of charge, targeted real and active farmers to maximize impact. As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Senator Mustapha has leveraged his influential role to deliver significant support to both small-scale and commercial farmers.
His efforts complement the ambitious agricultural initiatives driven by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Kwara State Government, paving the way for a more prosperous and sustainable agricultural sector in Kwara State.
