Former minister of justice, Bola Ajibola is dead
The former attorney general and minister of justice of Nigeria, Bola Ajibola, has passed away at the age of 89.
His death was confirmed by a family source who revealed that the former justice minister died on Sunday April 9.
The family source wrote: “Asalamaleikun. With very deep heart and gratitude to Almighty Allah… Our Dad Prince Bola Ajibola departed this world over the midnight.”
“May Almighty Allah bless him with Aljanah firdaus.”
The Informant247 recalls that Ajibola was the minister of justice from 1985 to 1991 under the Ibrahim Babangida’s military government.
He served as a judge of the International Court of Justice in The Hague, Holland from 1991 to 1994.
From 1999 to 2002, he also served as the high commissioner of Nigeria to the United Kingdom, UK. from 1999 to 2002.
He was also the president of the Nigerian Bar Association NBA for one-year tenure.
He founded the Crescent University, Abeokuta, at the capital of Ogun state.
The passing of Ajibola came seven years after he lost his wife, Olufunmilayo in London.
