Former APC assembly aspirant Hon. Amule joins PDP in Kwara

A former aspirant for the Kwara State House of Assembly under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Basheer Olayinka Amule, has officially joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

Amule, who announced his defection on Saturday, said the move followed a period of deep reflection after he stepped away from partisan politics about a year ago. According to him, the decision was driven by a desire to align with a political platform that shares his vision for service and the development of the people.

“I took time to reflect on the kind of political platform that truly aligns with my vision for service and the development of our people. After careful consideration, I have decided to pitch my tent with the PDP,” he said.

The former APC stalwart was received at the PDP secretariat in Ilorin East Local Government Area by party leaders, members, and supporters, who welcomed his decision as a boost to the party’s strength in the state.

Amule pledged his loyalty to the PDP and promised to work closely with party stakeholders to build a more formidable structure and contribute to the progress of Kwara State.

“This decision marks a new chapter for me, and I look forward to serving our people better under this platform,” he added.
