Flood occupies ex-president Jonathan’s house

Flood has occupied the residence of former President, Goodluck Jonathan, at Otuoke in Ogbia Local Government Area of the State.

While the former President paid a visit to his hometown to examine the situation of flood, on Friday,  Governor of Bayelsa State, Duoye Diri lamented the level of damaged triggered by what he referred to as an “attack by natural disaster” on the people of Bayelsans.

The Governor, who made a remark that Otuoke, which hosts a Federal University, had been reduced and most of the locals moved out of the location, including the former president.

He further restated his commitment to put in place mechanism and make provision for relief packages and medical help to victims of the flood.

While empathizing with the former Nigerian leader who he said has been also internally displaced by the flood, the governor also paid a visit to the former president’s mother, Eunice Jonathan.

The governor, however, demanded the assistance of well-meaning citizens of the state, corporate entities and the federal government to ensure the State overcome the present unfortunate incidents of flood.
