First wife attacks husband’s new wife on wedding day

A first wife has attacked the new bride of her husband on wedding day, in Northern Nigeria.

In the video which has gone viral on social media, the new bride moved closer to salute her senior wife.

As tradition demands, the senior wife was expected to welcome and pray for the new wife.

The older wife who seemed unpleased with the introduction of the new wife, as soon as the new wife moved closer to her and greeted her : “Assalamu alaikum”, the first wife descended on the new wife, slapped and continued to beat her despite attempts of other women to settle the fight.
