Fire razes two-storey building in Ilorin
Fire gutted a two-storey building along Obo-Road in the Ilorin capital of Kwara, on Thursday.
Officials of the state fire service were however able to quash the ravaging fire in time.
“Only two flats in the building (each flat containing four bedrooms) only two rooms were affected,” the fire spokesperson, Hakeem Hassan Adekunle aid in a statement.
He quoted the state fire boss, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa (CFO) as urging residents to always cultivate the habit of switching off their electrical appliances before bedtime, as it will not only help them to prevent the chances of fire outbreaks in their various homes but also help them to drastically reduce it.
